Restaurant The Game (Dich’)

A bespoke restaurant in Peredelkino — a nod to all manner of European hunting feasts. An intimate space for 45 people, evoking country estates and palaces where a hunt was always followed by an elegant banquet: noble wood, a multitude of small yet precisely executed details, an old-fashioned fireplace, and a mix of French, English, and Russian dishes on the tables.

The cuisine is overseen by the famous Russian chef Alexander Vasilyevich Popov, who once worked at the “Central House of Writers” and in Maison Dellos restaurants — an avid hunter and long-time popularizer of French cuisine in Russia.

The project was conceived and opened by Igor Lantsman, who oversees Peredelkino’s food scene (Gimpel and the historic buffet at the House of Creativity). Lantsman has a rare talent for creating projects that require the audience to adapt to their rules, and he does it with pleasure. So it is with “Game”: besides being open only on weekends, only for lunch and dinner, and strictly by prior reservation, the time allotted for savoring roast beefs and aspics is no more than two hours.
