Restaurant Atelier Tapas & Bar

This is practically Barcelona, albeit in the Petrogradskaya Storona neighborhood of St. Petersburg: tapas, lots of cava, meat from the Josper oven, good music, and an enchanting summer terrace. The kitchen is overseen by the virtuoso chef Mansur Valiev, known to the locals from the Sight restaurant. The head bartender is Vitaly Severninov–-an instructor, possessor of encyclopedic knowledge, and overall expert on all botanical spirits. In terms of concept, this is one of St. Petersburg’s most perfectly balanced culinary projects and an excellent tapas bar for all occasions. It definitely has the city’s best Iberian jamon, fantastic Basque pinchos, and a giant cocktail menu with a unique section, devoted to the history of last century’s Spanish mixology.
The place is quite small, so make sure to book a table if you plan to visit on a Friday or Saturday night.
