Bar Companion

A French wine bar in Starosadsky Lane. Behind the project is the team behind “Novoe Prostranstvo,” Veladora, and “Avtomoyka”—experts at building communities where everyone lives in cozy closeness without offense, where privacy isn’t needed, and where you can confidently place a communal table for 32 guests, and it will be a success.

Moscow has plenty of wine bars, but not many places where French wine and French cuisine are housed in an 18th-century blacksmith’s forge. The space was reimagined by Saga bureau: historic vaulted ceilings, white brick, and minimalism become the backdrop against which the food looks especially striking.

Chef Denis Paramonov’s menu brings together key elements of French gastronomy: terrines, foie gras, sole meunière, meat specialties, and homemade bread. The wine list focuses on France—from Champagne and Jura to small estates and young producers.
