Restaurant Barbara

Another chic restaurant in the Iset Tower, one floor above the Breadway café. The establishment’s name is a reference to the Santa Barbara soap opera, and shoutouts to the TV series’ fans can be found here and there: the summer patio is decorated with arches straight from the famous credit sequence, the titular dessert is called the Pearl of Barbara, and the bathroom stall walls are covered with the graffiti of names of the three main families: Andrade, Capwell, and Lockridge. The menu is a selection of fish and seafood: oysters with raspberry sauce, endless oshizushi rolls, giant mussels in blue cheese sauce, and grilled octopus with romesco sauce.
