Italian classics as imagined by Glen Ballis can be found at Bolshaya Nikitskaya Street. The emphasis is made on seasonality (still can’t forget the summertime minestrone with chanterelles), soothing and uplifting breakfasts (on weekdays until 1pm, on weekends until 2pm), a bar menu created by sensible Maxim Gorelik, and a compact menu that frees you from the agonies of choosing. In the case of Ballis, conciseness is an excellent move, because you want to permanently go back for those salmon ravioli and gnocchi with black caviar.
